On August 22nd, Kelco Industries proudly joined forces with Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) at their Schaumburg, Illinois location. Our team was excited to step away from our daily routines and come together to pack nutritious meals for children in need across the globe.
What is FMSC?
Feed My Starving Children is a nonprofit organization dedicated to ending hunger for children in developing countries. Through their meal-packing events, volunteers from all walks of life come together to pack and ship nutritious meals to ensure no child goes hungry.
Making an Impact
At Kelco, we believe in giving back to the community and supporting causes that align with our core values. During the Schaumburg event, our team packed 52 boxes, which equates to 11,232 meals. These meals will feed 31 children daily for a year. The total cost to make this impact was $3,257.28, and every cent went toward ensuring that children in countries affected by food insecurity receive the nutrition they needLearn more about FMSC’s global impact.

Teamwork Beyond the Office
The FMSC event was more than just volunteering—it was a chance for us to strengthen bonds as a team while giving back. Working side by side, we packed meal kits, supported each other, and had fun in the process. Our participation was not only fulfilling but also a meaningful experience that reinforced our commitment to creating a positive impact beyond the workplace.
A Day to Remember
At the end of the event, we left with full hearts, knowing that our time contributed to feeding children in need. Events like these remind us that, together, we can help shape a brighter future for others.
