The employees of Western Consolidated Technologies, a division of KELCO, recently collected gifts for the Children of the Fremont Community Schools Head Start program. Head Start provides preschool programs, nutrition, health, and social services to low-income families and families experiencing homelessness.

WCT Holidaydrive

WCT has been partnering with the Fremont Head Start program on its holiday gift drive for nearly ten years. “At WCT, we’ve been richly blessed with steady work and a generous, compassionate team. Our employees always enjoy giving back to our community,” says Kim Kelly, Chief Operating Officer for WCT, located in Fremont, Indiana.

In a year marked by challenges for so many, WCT recognized the need to again bring a little joy to the less fortunate, and the holidays are an opportunity to show a bit more kindness.

“Our employees at WCT are some of the most big-hearted people I’ve ever met. Because of their generosity, every child in the Head Start program will receive gifts that WCT employees purchased especially for them.”

WCT has a long-running history of community involvement and traditionally holds a holiday auction of employee-donated items matched by company contributions; all proceeds are donated to a local organization in need. In addition to Head Start, past community recipients have included Branch County Veterans Affairs and the Fremont Community Church.

We’re thankful for the generosity of our KELCO employees and wish all of you a peaceful holiday season.
